We have a clear development path for people who join our recruitment consultant stream with well-documented competencies so everyone can clearly see how their performance matches up with their level of responsibility. Our training programme enables our early-career joiners to develop their recruitment skills in our research team before joining one of our teams of experts.

We provide significant learning and development opportunities including ‘Share and Learn’, ‘Clubhouse’ and ‘Question Time’ sessions run by knowledgeable members of our business, as well as external speakers from the private markets community. As we sit in an open plan office, you get the opportunity to ask questions directly of more established colleagues who will always make time to help you learn and develop.

Mentoring and internal networks

From day one at PER you will have a buddy who will help you to learn the ropes within the business. You will be given the opportunity to take part in monthly ‘career development’ sessions, where you and your peers will engage in lively discussions about your experiences. You will also have the chance to work with an internal mentor who will help you think more broadly about your career.

Our own social impact is important to us. As well as our volunteering day, PER matches money raised from colleagues for good causes close to your heart, and sponsors quiz nights, bake-offs and share-a-skill lunches. In 2022, a team of nine represented PER by taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, completing it in less than 24 hours, and meeting their fundraising target of £10,000 for IMC in Ukraine.

For everyone we place, and everyone who joins us, we plant 5 fruit trees through Ripple Africa. Our goal: to offset 250 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to charging 30 million smartphones, every year.
